Coast guard ship Uisko (Celtic) found.
The research vessel Mare of the Estonian Maritime Museum researcher Vello Mäss located an unknown wreck in Gulf of Finland last summer. The wreck was estimated to belong to the Finnish Coast guard vessel Uisko that was sunk by a Russian bomber in September 1943. 17 crewmembers were killed, two survived. Estonians decided that the Finnish war grave should be visited by the Finnish divers first and called the wreck explorers team Sukeltajat ry and Tekkovery Channel to Tallinn with their vessel Maija. The divers visited the wreck a week ago for three times and found it laying at the depth 70 meters, broken in two pieces and covered with nets.
Identification of the wreck confirmed the opinion of the Estonian researchers. Uisko has been found.
